Psycho-oncology Co-operative Research Group (PoCoG)


PoCoG is a multidisciplinary organisation of 1,800 researchers and clinicians. Our mission is to develop and facilitate large-scale, multi-centre psycho-oncology and supportive care research across Australia to improve the psychological care and wellbeing of people affected by cancer.

PoCoG was established in 2005, in response to a recognised need to develop the capacity and collaboration to conduct large-scale, multi-centre psycho-oncology clinical trials and supportive care research.

Full PoCoG membership is open to researchers and health professionals from Australia and New Zealand and associate membership is available to international psycho-oncology researchers.

  • Psychiatrist: 2%
  • Psychologist: 35%
  • Palliative medicine: 3%
  • Public Health: 15%
  • Social worker 8%
