Account Creation and Management

  • How do I create an account?
    Visit the IPOS Account Management portal. You be taken to a page requesting your e-mail address, first/given name, family name/surname, and postal code. The system will check to see if you already have a record in the IPOS database, and if you do, it will give you a list of individuals matching the information you have entered and ask you if one of these records belongs to you. If it does, you will click your e-mail address to have logon information sent to that address. If you had an account, but your e-mail address has changed, please contact IPOS Headquarters at info@ipos-society.org. If none of the records belong to you, you will click the link saying "None of these records is mine." If you click this link, or if you do not have a record in the IPOS database, you will be taken to a form to enter all of your contact information IPOS membership application information. You will then be able to logon to the system. Top of page
  • My browser displays an error message when I try to create an account.
    Because the default language of the system is English, you may get an error if your internet browser is set for a default language other than English. Please try changing the options or settings in your internet browser to make the language English until you are finished using the IPOS portal and then you may change the browser language back to your native language.   • I cannot remember my logon ID.
    To receive a logon reminder by e-mail, visit the IPOS Account Management portal. On the left side of the resulting page, click the link that says "Forgot my ID/Password," then click on "Forgot your username?" You will be asked to fill in your e-mail address. Please be sure to use the same e-mail address in this field that you believe IPOS would have as your most recent contact information. A list of records matching your information should appear, and you will click your e-mail address to have your logon ID sent to that address. Top of page
  • I cannot remember my password.
    To receive a new password because you cannot remember your current password, visit the IPOS Account Management portal. On the left side of the resulting page, click the link that says "Forgot my ID/Password." Enter the e-mail address that you believe IPOS would have on record for you and click the red Submit button. You will receive an e-mail message that includes a link to reset your password, along with your current logon. Top of page
  • How do I update my contact information in my account?
    Log on to the IPOS portal using the "Log on" link at the top of the portal webpage. Then click the Account Management link at the top of the page. Then click the options on the left side menu for Personal (to change your personal information) or Address (to change your address information). Top of page
  • How do I change my logon ID?
    Log on to the IPOS portal using the "Log on" link at the top of the portal webpage. Click the Account Management link at the top of the page, and then click the link on the left side menu for ID & Password. At the top, under the heading "Modify Logon," enter the new logon ID you wish to use followed by your current password and then click the red Save button. Be sure to do this separately from changing your password, saving your new ID before you begin to change your password. Top of page
  • How do I change my password?
    Log on to the IPOS portal using the "Log on" link at the top of the portal webpage. Click the Account Management link at the top of the page, and then click the link on the left side menu for ID & Password. At the bottom, under the heading "Modify Existing Password," enter your current password, then the new password you wish to use, then the new password again. Then click the red Save button. Be sure to do this separately from changing your logon ID, saving your new ID before you begin to change your password. Top of page

Membership Applications and Dues Payments

  • How do I apply for IPOS membership?
    To apply for IPOS membership, you must first create an account as described above in "How do I create an account?" When you are creating your account by entering your personal information, be sure to indicate at the bottom of the page under the heading "IPOS MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION" for which type of membership you would like to apply. For a list of low- and middle income countries, click here. For information about the IPOS member types, click here. You should then see a link at the top of the page that says, "Pay Your Dues." Alternatively, you can click the Account Management link at the top of the page and then click the Billing link on the left side of the page. Follow the instructions there to pay your dues and any journal subscriptions or donations. Top of page
  • I am currently an IPOS member. How do I pay my membership dues?
    Log on to the IPOS portal. Click the Account Management link at the top of the page and then click the Billing link on the left side of the page. Follow the instructions there to pay your dues and any journal subscriptions or donations. Top of page
  • What is meant by "Voluntary Dues" on the Dues Payment page?
    The system IPOS uses calls donations or contributions by the name "voluntary dues." These options are simply a method of making a tax-deductible contribution to IPOS. Top of page
  • How can I access the contact information of other IPOS members?
    Log on to the IPOS portal using the "Log on" link at the top of the portal webpage. You should then see a link at the top of the page that says, "Members-only Directory." Click this link to be taken to a searchable directory of IPOS members. This feature is available only to members of IPOS. Top of page
  • I want to pay by check or wire transfer. How do I pay?
    Contact info@ipos-society.org to get information to pay IPOS membership items by check or wire transfer. Top of page
  • I am getting an error when I try to submit my credit card payment.
    First, please check that you have entered exactly the correct Payment Type, Expiration Date, Card Number, Security Code, and Name on the Credit Card. If you have not made any errors in entering that information, please check to make sure the address entered on the Payment Information page is the same address where the invoice for the credit card is sent each month. If all of this information is correct and the error message still appears, you may contact IPOS at +1 434.293.5350 for personal attention. Top of page
