The 12th International World Congress of Psycho-Oncology Scientific Program Committee is now accepting abstracts. Psychosocial oncology professionals in all disciplines are encouraged to submit abstracts for presentation. Abstracts will be reviewed and selected for presentation based on relevance to the conference theme, applicability to the field of psychosocial oncology, relevance to clinical practice, contribution to new knowledge and the inclusion of evidence based content.
If your submission is accepted, you or a co-author must register and pay for the conference to present your submission. If you elect not to attend, your presentation will be withdrawn.
The deadline for submitting an abstract has been extended to 11:59 PM EST on Friday, 29 January 2010. Acceptance notifications will be sent by 26 February 2010.
Abstract Guidelines
Abstracts will be considered for the following:
- 20-minute podium presentations (15 minutes plus 5 minutes for Q&A and transitions)
- 90-minute symposia (including 3 - 4 speakers and a discussant)
- 90-minute workshops
- Poster presentations
For publication purposes, all abstracts must be entered into the abstract system in English. Workshops and oral abstract presentations may be presented in French.
