Workshop Description:

This Advocacy Academy is targeted to leaders from non-profit and non-governmental organizations that focus on psychosocial support, education and advocacy for cancer patients. The day-long program will examine very broad issues including differences in psychosocial support and services in low, medium and high resource countries, and very practical issues including organizational development, coalition building, fundraising and program innovation and evaluation. This session is a follow on to the inaugural Patient Advocacy post conference at the 2007 IPOS Congress. It is our desire to make this an annual offering at the Congress for patient organizations.
