The 9th World Congress will feature several social events for your enjoyment during your stay in London. Details of these events are listed below.

Opening Reception - Sunday, 16 September 2007, 5:00 - 7:00 pm

The Congress Opening Reception will take place on Sunday,
16 September 2007 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm at the Congress venue, Imperial College (South Kensington Campus). The reception is a fantastic opportunity to network with colleagues and will feature light refreshments. The Opening Reception is complimentary to all attendees registered for the full three-day Congress. Any One Day Only registrants or guests of Congress attendees may purchase tickets to the Opening Reception for an additional fee.

Performance of Cancer Tales by Nell Dunn -

Playwright Nell Dunn was deeply affected by the loss of her father to cancer many years ago. As part of the healing process, she wrote the play Cancer Tales, which tell the individual stories of some of her friends and family whose lives were affected by cancer. This special performance is being given on Monday, 17 September 2007 at Imperial College just for the 9th World Congress. The performance is being sponsored by Mundipharma International and by Napp UK, and is free for all Congress registrants. Due to theatre size constraints, additional tickets for guests are NOT available for purchase.

Congress Gala Dinner: Thames River Dinner Cruise - Tuesday, 18 September 2007, 7:00 - 10:30 pm

IPOS has contracted the largest vessel of the famous Silver Fleet (the Silver Sturgeon) for a remarkable dinner cruise on the Thames River. The per person fee for the cruise includes a before-dinner drink, a delicious full meal (including wine) and entertainment, not to mention a breathtaking tour of London on the Thames. This is not only a unique and exciting way to see the city, but it is also an excellent opportunity for networking. There is limited seating available, so purchase tickets for you and your guests as soon as registration opens!
